Wild Art Summer Camp at LaBoiteaux Woods Nature Preserve (College Hill)

Does your child enjoy art and take inspiration from nature in their drawings and art creations? Are they a young version of John A. Ruthven, Cincinnati`s famous local wildlife artist? If so, children ages 7 - 9 will enjoy a lively mix of art and nature using a variety of media including natural materials at this specialized camp. Backyard Birds at Owl`s Nest Park (O`Bryonville/ Walnut Hills)

Discover the variety of birds common to Cincinnati and enjoyed by John A. Ruthven as he ventured these neighborhoods as a child and he would later choose as subjects of his award winning paintings. Engage in hands-on activities and learn about bird adaptations. Stay to enjoy the many festivities of the National Night Out event occurring during the same time. Bring the entire family to this fun-filled day of activities such as bird of prey shows and close encounters with snakes and other reptiles. View these animals up close and be inspired like John A. Ruthven to make a drawing to take home. Children`s crafts, strolling entertainment with juggling and balloon artists, nature and outdoor recreation demonstrations, children entertainment on the showmobile, inflatables, and a variety of food vendors will also be part of the event.
